An Update from Deaconess Elizabeth

Greetings in the name of Christ!  I have now had the pleasure of working with you at Timothy Lutheran Church for over six months, and I thought I’d give an update on my work here at Timothy.  I am continuing to lead chapel for the Preschoolers and be involved at events here at Timothy. You may have seen me at the Egg Hunt or around Timothy, or maybe I’ve even come to visit you! I am so grateful to spend time at Timothy and getting to know you better!  One of the things I have been working towards the last couple of weeks is an event for both Timothy members and the surrounding community!

On April 29th, we’re hosting a Family Health and Safety Fair, and you’re invited! We’ll have presenters from all over the St. Louis area presenting on topics such as parenting, poison awareness, and fire safety, as well as many activities and fun things to do! The event is free and open to the public, so be sure to invite your friends and neighbors! If you want to help make it a great day and volunteer for the event, be sure to sign up on the Volunteer Sign Up Sheet in the back of the narthex.

Another exciting event is coming up as well! April 26th, next Wednesday, is Call Day at the Seminary. Since I am on my internship, even though I am here until August, I am eligible for a call this Call Day! If you’d like to attend, the service is at 7 pm on April 26th in the Seminary Chapel. I recommend getting there early to get a good seat. If you can’t make it in person, there is a livestream being hosted by the Seminary that you can tune into to watch the service.  You can find information about the screening, the service, and an interactive map of calls (available after the services) at Please join us in celebrating this momentous occasion!  As always, thank you for all of your support here at Timothy!   God’s Blessings upon this Easter Season,

Deacones Elizabeth
