Have you ever heard someone ask: WHY DOES THE WOMEN in MISSION GROUP AT TIMOTHY COLLECT USED STAMPS? Tell everyone that over the years OUR Missouri District of the LWML has amassed over $17,000 for Missions ... just by cutting the cancelled stamps off envelopes and collecting same thru our Missouri Lutheran churches. We will be happy to process whole envelopes or postcards for you with any stamps for you and discard the ones that can't be donated. STAMP GUIDELINES

DO .NOT SAVE ANY CHRISTMAS, LOVE OR BELL STAMPS

SAVE U.S. COMMON STAMPS WITH PLATE NUMBERS ONLY

1) FOREVER STAMPS, SAVE ALL COMMEMORATIVE AND BOOKLET SIZE STAMPS, ONLY COMMON ONE WITH OUT PLATE NUMBERS ARE TO DISCARDED.

2) U.S. COMMON STAMPS WITH PLATE NUMBERS: Plate numbers are either a single number or a series of numbers, other than the date, at the bottom of the stamp. Plate numbers are in the middle of the bottom, or some are at the bottom right corner of the stamp border.

3) U.S. COMMEMORATIVE: Generally larger in size oblong shaped stamps, but came in other shapes .From 1 cent to 50 cent.

4) U.S. HIGH VALVE: Stamps of 60 cents and over

5) FOREIGN STAMPS: separate into:

  1. A) Large foreign commemorative
  2. B) Small, common foreign stamps

6) U.S. AIRMAIL: stamps marked Airmail with values 31 cents and higher

7) U.S. PRIORITY MAIL & U.S. EXPRESS MAIL

8) PRE-ST AMPED ENVELOPES

9) FEDRAL DUCK STAMPS: used undamaged
