Timothy Lutheran Church is proud to present the Piano and Violin Concert "Music for a New Year"

Angela Youngmi Choi is coming to St. Louis as part of her U.S. tour.  Joined by the world renown violinst Go Eun Choi

Acclaimed for "Explosive power, commanding passion with emotional flame and crystal clarity," Angela Youngmi Choi has appeared throughout Europe, Asia and North America as a concert pianist. Recently, she gave a debut recital in Berlin’s Philharmonie Hall, recorded her first solo album The Spirit, and also performed the complete piano sonatas of Prokofiev.Ms. Choi's recent performances include solo appearances with the Russian Havarovsk Symphony, Moldova National Symphony, Orchestra Filharmonica “Mihail Jora” di Bacau, Seoul Chamber Ensemble, KBS Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, and the Ukraine Radio Orchestra, among others. Ms. Choi has also appeared in concert in the United Kingdom, in Finland at the Suolahti Music Festival, in Italy at the Auditorium “B. Berellini”, the Oratorio San Martino, and the festival in Melissano, Recco, and Brindisi.  She had also performed in Russia at the Havarovsk Symphony Concert Hall, in the United States at Mannes College of Music and Indiana University, and in Spain at Auditori de la Mediterrania(Alicante) and Auditorio ADOC (Elda).

Go Eun Choi is a graduate of the Yonsei University College of Music, with Master's degree from Menes College of Music, and the Yonsei University doctoral program.  She has received the first prize in the Music Journal, Seoul Symphony Competition, was chosen as a representative of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Yonsei University College of Music, and has held recitals at IBK Hall, Seoul Arts Center.
